Santi Bueno became the first captain of a South American country while playing for Wolves.
He led Uruguay out in a friendly match against Uzbekistan, wearing the armband for his country for the first time.
The match ended in a 2-1 friendly victory in Malaysia, with Marcelo Bielsa giving Bueno the honours.
