Inquest into 2024 Boat Crash
A coroner's inquest has begun into the 2024 boat crash that killed two men near Rose Island.
Police Corporal 3951 Lowe testified that he recovered the belongings of the victims, Adriel Rolle, 56, and Sean Laing, 51, who died when their vessel struck a reef on June 7, 2024.
- The 32-foot Concept boat had departed a marina for South Andros when it hit the reef.
- All three people on board were ejected, and the victims were found by a passing vessel.
- The lone survivor, Julian Butler, a retired police reservist, was treated for head injuries.
The boat reportedly sank while being towed back to New Providence.
