Germany has pledged over $2 billion in military aid to Ukraine, as Kyiv estimates its 2026 defense needs at $12 billion.

According to Defense Minister Boris Pistorius, Germany will buy $500 million worth of U.S. weapons for Ukraine under a new program.

"It provides air defense systems, Patriot (missile) interceptors, radar systems and precision guided artillery, rockets and ammunition."
