Mount Pleasant residents urge town council for speed humps after near-miss incident

Mount Pleasant Residents Request Speed Humps

Residents of the Oaks at Marsh View neighborhood in Mount Pleasant are urging the town council to install speed humps on Mossy Branch Way, a road with a history of speeding issues.

According to Sandy Quinqe, president of the homeowner's association, drivers often use the road as a "cut-through" from Rifle Range Road to Ben Sawyer Boulevard.

"We had this horrible thing," said Brittany Webb, an Oaks at Marsh View resident. "Had we just gotten a speed bump that we'd been asking for, this could have slowed him down.

Residents have been seeking speed humps for nearly four years, and the town council is now being asked to address the issue.
