UI Professors Bring Creative Energy to WSU Visiting Writers Series
Lovers of literature gathered to listen to local writers share their work in a room filled with art pieces and incandescent spotlights.
The Visiting Writers Series, held at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art, celebrated creative writing with readings from three University of Idaho professors: Michael McGriff, Thomas Dai, and Alexandra Teague.

Dai, an essayist and assistant professor at UI, read passages from his new book, "Say My Name but Say It Slow," at the event.
A Q&A session followed the readings, where attendees asked for general writing tips and discussed specific aspects of the professors' work.
