On Tuesday, October 14, public address systems and screens at Kelowna and Victoria airports were hacked with pro-Hamas messages, causing flight delays.
The incident occurred between 5 p.m. at both Kelowna International Airport (YLW) and Victoria International Airport (YYJ), with unauthorized messaging seen and heard throughout the airports.
"The YLW team has successfully removed the unauthorized messaging... and are continuing to work on restoring the PA system."
Airport authorities have restored flight information display screens and are working to restore the PA system.
