Xander Schauffele has claimed a sentimental victory in Japan, where he has many connections, as his mother grew up in the country.
Schauffele shot a seven-under 64 on Sunday to win the Baycurrent Classic, finishing with a total score of 19-under 265 over four rounds at the Yokohama Country Club.
Australian Min Woo Lee also had a solid performance, capping off a top-10 spot in the tournament.
The American finished one shot ahead of Max Greyserman, who was the runner-up at this event for the second consecutive year.
It may not have been Xander Schauffele's most prestigious tournament victory, but it could be the American's most memorable.
Author's summary: Schauffele wins Baycurrent Classic.
