Former Celtics guard Jrue Holiday is settling into his new home on the west coast after being traded to the Portland Trail Blazers.
Holiday joined the Celtics in 2023 and played a key role in their 18th championship win. However, the Celtics made several offseason moves, including trading Holiday to Portland for guard Anfernee Simons.
“Everyone was assuming I was miserable or unhappy with it,”
Holiday told media platform Andscape, expressing his excitement about the trade. He received a call from Celtics president Brad Stevens, after which he felt
“super excited”about the move.
Despite initial assumptions that the trade was a step-down for Holiday, he seems to be embracing his new opportunity with the Trail Blazers.
