President Oaks' First Interview as Church President
President Oaks and the First Presidency expressed hope for the future and their desire to serve in a 20-minute interview.
In the interview, President Oaks answered questions from journalist Jane Clayson Johnson about his new role as president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Jesus Christ is the way
He also read King Benjamin's teaching in Mosiah, emphasizing that
there shall be no other name given nor any other way nor means whereby salvation can come unto the children of men, only in and through the name of Christ, the Lord Omnipotent.
The interview was published two days after President Oaks introduced President Henry B. Todd Christofferson as his First Presidency first and second counselors.
