Colorado State University (CSU) has reinstated its free speech policy after a week of protests.
A senior at CSU, Amber Wright, expressed her concerns about the policy change by chalking "RIP Free Speech" on the Lory Student Center Plaza.
Chalking on the plaza has been a common outlet for free speech and expression at the university, along with tabling, debating, and messaging.
She drew arrows pointing to the puddles, accompanied by the bright orange words “RIP Free Speech.”
The free speech zones on CSU's campus are not limited to the plaza, but it is where most expression takes place.
The policy that allowed for this expression was rescinded for two months without the knowledge of the university community.
