Bridgewater College football standout linebacker Aaron Nice, a third-team All-American in 2023, took a season off to focus on powerlifting and qualifying for the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
Despite not playing football in 2024, Nice stayed in top physical shape. A video from 2023 showed him deadlifting 445 pounds, generating over 1.4 million views and featuring on ESPN.
He has been great, he is a legacy (student). His mom and dad have a long history here at Bridgewater.
Bridgewater head coach Scott Lemn praised Nice, highlighting the value of his family's history with the college during the recruiting process.
Nice is now back with the Eagles, causing havoc for opponents and bringing power and lift to the defense.
