The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to review and withdraw the presidential pardon granted to individuals convicted of corruption.
According to SERAP, the pardon
violates both Nigeria’s Constitution and international anti-corruption obligationsand
is antithetical to the Constitution and contrary to the president’s own oft-repeated promises to prevent and combat corruption.
