SafeNest, a Southern Nevada nonprofit, has opened a new facility to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence.
The facility provides a safe place for adults and their children to stay after leaving an abuser, with a "trauma triage" center offering short-term stays of up to 72 hours.
"This is where hope begins,"
said Anglea Reyes, Chief Program Officer at SafeNest. The new location features a calming atmosphere with touches of purple and lavender.
