The Arkansas football team has added a new jersey patch to honor Darren McFadden's No. 5.
Only two numbers have been retired in Arkansas football history: Brandon Burlsworth's 77 and Clyde Scott's 12.
"It's a conversation piece,"
said McFadden, the Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007.
Defensive tackle Cam Ball and wide receiver Ja'Kayden Ferguson wear the patch this season.
McFadden was honored on the field during Arkansas' game against Texas A&M.
