The Luzerne County Election Board's post-election adjudication process will begin sooner than in previous years.
According to Election Director Emily Cook, the adjudication process will start on Thursday, November 9, instead of the traditional Friday after elections.
Adjudication determines which flagged mail and provisional ballots are accepted or rejected and tallies write-in votes.
Cook attributed the earlier start to changes in procedures, prioritizing adjudication preparation. The public is invited to attend the adjudication process, which will commence at 9 a.m.
Author's summary: Luzerne County Election Board starts adjudication earlier.
