West Las Vegas School Embraces AI
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is being utilized in various fields, including jobs, travel planning, and smart homes. One area where AI is also being applied is in schools, such as Growing Minds Academy, a new private school in West Las Vegas.
Enrichment Specialist Teacher Ashley LaPrade allows her students, ranging from Kindergarten to 8th grade, to get creative with AI tools in her classroom. LaPrade aims to use AI as a positive tool, both inside and outside the classroom, to enhance note-taking skills and question-asking abilities.

LaPrade's second-grade classroom is an example, where students use AI to identify recyclable items, promoting creativity and efficiency in the learning process.
