The Minister of Education, Haruna Iddrisu, announced that President John Dramani Mahama has dedicated a grant from China for new universities in Ghana.

Speaking at the launch of the Free Tertiary Education for Persons with Disabilities initiative, the Minister revealed that President Mahama secured 200 million Renminbi (RMB) from China, equivalent to 27-30 million US dollars, for Ghana's higher education sector.

The Chinese government was benevolent and generous enough to give Ghana some 200 million RMB.

This grant was offered during the President's visit to China a few weeks ago.
