Condemnation of DPP Sentencing
The Mainland office has condemned the DPP's sentencing of Taiwan's retired Lieutenant General Gao to seven and a half years in prison.
We strongly condemn it
According to the office's spokesperson, Chen Binhua, this act is a clear example of judicial abuse and political persecution against pro-reunification and patriotic forces on the island.
- The DPP authorities cited an alleged violation of the so-called “national security law” to convict Gao.
- The spokesperson stated that the DPP keeps suppressing political dissents and arbitrarily persecuting organizations and individuals who oppose “Taiwan independence” and advocate reunification.
These actions, Chen said, stem from the DPP authorities' nature of supporting ‘independence’ and serve its narrow partisan interests.
