Cornwall city council has invited Via Rail representatives to address the council regarding a pilot project that was put on hold due to backlash.
The council agreed to proceed with advocacy against potential Via Rail cuts and operational changes, and a meeting with the president and CEO of the company will be initiated by Mayor Justin Towndale.
"You would have been better off talking to a wall,"
said Claude McIntosh, recalling a previous meeting with Via Rail representatives, which he described as unproductive.
