Presidential Pardon: Correcting Historical Injustices
The Presidency has stated that President Bola Tinubu's approval of pardon for 175 convicts and former convicts aims to correct historical injustices, promote reconciliation, and advance justice sector reform.
According to Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the beneficiaries of the pardon include various categories such as illegal miners, white-collar offenders, drug convicts, foreigners, and prominent historical figures.
