A car crash on Saturday morning led to a power outage in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley, affecting thousands of residents.
According to Puget Sound Energy, more than 5,400 customers lost power, with over 1,000 still without power in Sedro-Woolley as of 1 p.m.
The crash likely led to the large power outage, with multiple transformers sustaining heavy damage.
- The incident occurred at Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road around 7 a.m.
- Police extracted the passengers from the vehicle and led them away from the scene.
- Traffic lights were also affected, with some intersections having battery-powered lights and others not.
Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m., according to PSE.
