Yorgos Lanthimos Takes a Break from Filmmaking
Yorgos Lanthimos, a 5x Oscar nominee, is due for a break after releasing another award-worthy film with Emma Stone for the third consecutive year.
“Well, I can’t keep doing that anymore. [Laughs] That’s what we’re certain of right now,”
He admitted to needing “a little break” after his latest movie Bugonia's release on Oct. 31, despite intending to take a breather after his previous two titles, Poor Things (2023) and Kinds of Kindness (2024).
Lanthimos told Collider:
“It’s a big mistake. I’ve said that before in between the other three, but I’m serious now. I’m going to take a little break. Hold me to it”
