'If She Really Is An Advocate, It's Alarming': Kerala High Court Slams Woman For Misconduct, Casting Aspersions On Judges

Kerala High Court Reprimands Litigant for Misconduct

The Kerala High Court has reprimanded a woman claiming to be an advocate for her misconduct in court.

A Division Bench consisting of Justice Devan Ramachandran and Justice M B Snehalatha was hearing the petitioner's plea to invalidate a divorce decree and judgment of Family Court Ernakulam.

The petitioner's behavior was deemed unacceptable, as she raised her voice and refused to listen, speaking "intemperately" and implying that the judges were unaware of the law and "undeserving" judges.

The court noted that the petitioner imputed the judges of not knowing the law and being “undeserving” judges.

The court was considering whether the writ petition needed to be numbered, as the Registry had marked several defects in the case.
