Updates to the In-House Ethics Framework
We have updated and refined our ethical practice framework for in-house solicitors, a suite of tools and resources to support balancing professional ethical obligations and employers' expectations.
The in-house ethics framework was developed by IDEA Leeds and launched in May 2025 after extensive practitioner engagement. A consultation was held until 1 September 2025 to refine the framework's resources.
Following a consultation involving over 220 members, we introduce several enhancements in the second iteration. Previous research and the consultation revealed that
whistleblowing was a priority for in-house solicitors.
