Supreme Court Grants Reprieve to Vodafone Idea

The Supreme Court allowed the DoT to reassess Vodafone Idea's adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues, citing "peculiar facts and circumstances" of the case.
This move enables the debt-laden telecom service provider to seek recalibration of its long-standing dues, which have impacted its financial health for years.
The issue now lies within the policy framework of the Centre, said Chief Justice B R Gavai.
The decision opens a window for Vodafone Idea to resolve its financial struggles.
