Kéré Architecture Breaks Ground on Museum Ehrhardt in Plüschow, Germany

Kéré Architecture has begun construction on Museum Ehrhardt, a rammed-earth and timber building for contemporary art and photography in Plüschow, Germany.

Developed in cooperation with HK Architekten and Hermann Kaufmann + Partner ZT GmbH, the 1,400-square-meter museum will showcase photography and contemporary art.

The initiative was launched by Dr. Jens Ehrhardt to honor his father, Alfred Ehrhardt, a leading figure of Germany's New Objectivity movement.

The museum is located near the Baltic Sea, adjacent to Schloss Plüschow, an artist residency and gallery, and marks Kéré Architecture's first cultural project in Germany and first museum building in Europe.
