Keurig Dr Pepper (KDP) has announced a timeline to separate into two companies by the end of 2026, dubbed "Global Coffee Co." and "Beverage Co.".
This decision comes after KDP acquired JDE Peet’s in August and aims to split its soft drink and coffee businesses into two separate entities.
KDP CEO Tim Cofer stated that the goal is to create "two winning companies – a global coffee powerhouse and the most agile North American beverage leader"
KDP's plan is a result of the 2018 merger of Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group.
