EA has officially announced Battlefield RedSec, a free-to-play battle royale game for PC.
The game takes the familiar Battlefield formula of massive fights, vehicles, and destruction and drops it into a 100-player arena.
According to the game's description,
destruction and vehicles are at the heart of the action, with features like building destruction, bridge demolition, and vehicle usage for escapes or assaults.
The game requires a minimum of an Intel Core i5-8400 or Ryzen 5 2600, a GeForce RTX 2060, Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc A380, plus 16 GB of RAM, and also requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
This means that Linux players, including Steam Deck owners, won't be able to run the game natively.
