YouTube for Android Tests Blurred Bottom Bar
YouTube is testing a new design element on Android, a blurred bottom bar, which differs from other Google apps.
The new bottom bar features text labels, tweaked icons for Home and Subscriptions, and a plus button without a circular white outline.
- The bottom bar is now translucent, showing the background feed.
- The design is noticeable with three-button navigation, but less so with gesture navigation.
- In the You tab with a dark background, the blurring is barely visible.
This blurring is vaguely reminiscent of Ambient Mode for the video player.
