English Dub Review: Call of the Night
The 9th Night episode, "Yamori-kun, what do you want to do?" raises several questions about the storyline.
Anko's decision to shoot vampires in the open is puzzling, as they cannot be killed by conventional means. Ko suspects there is a method to her actions, but it is unclear what she hopes to accomplish.
I thought this was Japan, not America, as the reaction to the gunshot is surprisingly minimal. The lack of response from the crowd is confusing, especially considering the severity of the action.
Anko's character is also shown to be capable of holding her own in a fight, having potentially faced multiple vampires before. The episode leaves the viewer curious about her motivations and the outcome of her actions.
