Man Charged with Providing Explicit Material to Child
Justin Goodchild, 41, has been charged with providing sexually explicit material to a child under 16 and luring a child under 16.
The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service laid the charges on Wednesday, following an investigation that began with a cybertip report to the Winnipeg Police Service's Internet Child Exploitation Unit in March.
The report alleged that an adult was communicating "inappropriately" with a child under 16 via a social media platform.
- The investigation was initially handled by the Thunder Bay Police Service's Cyber Crime Unit, which found that the suspect resided in Sault Ste. Marie.
- The case was then transferred to the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service.
