Hong Kong Tennis Open: Last China Players Exit
China's last two representatives, Zhang Shuai and Wang Yafan, were eliminated from the tournament on Wednesday.
Zhang Shuai lost to Russia's Anna Kalinskaya in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1, while Wang Yafan was defeated by Swiss No 1 Belinda Bencic, 6-2, 6-2.
"I felt good on the court," Bencic said. "I tried to play aggressively, tried to play my game, and it worked out well.
Bencic, the No 1 seed, continues her climb into the world top 10 after being ranked '913 or something' a year ago, with her sixth consecutive victory.
