Canada's tourism sector has generated a record-breaking revenue of $59 billion between May and August, a six per cent increase compared to the same period last year.
The increase was driven by strong domestic and international travelers, with domestic tourism up seven per cent and revenue from international travelers increasing by 10 per cent.
According to Destination Canada, the revenue was also driven by international events such as the G7 summit held in Kananaskis Country, Alberta.
