Pensievision Wins Luminate NY OPI Accelerator Competition
Pensievision has been named the winner of the Luminate NY OPI Accelerator competition, receiving $1 million in investment.
The company was awarded "Company of the Year" at the Luminate Finals 2025 and will use the funding to anchor its growth in the region.
The company will use the follow-on funding "to anchor its growth in the region by engaging with local supply chains, hiring engineering talent from area universities, and partnering with Rochester-based design and manufacturing firms"
Luminate NY, administered by NextCorps, is the world's largest business accelerator for emerging companies with technologies enabled by optics, photonics, and imaging.
Pensievision has developed a 3D imaging approach for demanding environments, including medical diagnostics, factory floors, and orbital missions.
Four further companies have secured follow-on funding, with Pensievision receiving investment from New York State through the Finger Lakes Forward Upstate Revitalization Initiative.
