An overturned lorry caused major disruption on the M25, leading to hours of delays.
Traffic monitoring site Inrix reported:
Severe delays due to earlier overturned lorry on M25 anticlockwise from J10 A3 (Wisley Interchange) to J9 A243 (Leatherhead). Congestion to J13 (Staines), with delays through Oxshott, Byfleet, Tolworth and Chessington.
National Highways estimated delays of an hour against expected travel, with normal traffic conditions expected to resume between 23:15 and 23:30.
The M25 reopened just short of seven hours after closing, following completion of recovery and clear-up work.
