In the United States, the path of barbarism was chosen long ago. Trump and his enablers have accelerated this descent, but they are also symptoms of the problem.
The current crises, including ecological collapse, immense inequality, and endless war, are the logical consequences of a capitalist system based on violent exploitation and prioritizing profits over people.
