Far-right social media figures used an alleged sexual assault in Dublin to call for violence against asylum seekers and migrants.
A failed asylum seeker was accused of sexual assault, sparking protests and confrontations with police. Up to 1,000 demonstrators gathered outside the CityWest Hotel in Saggart, outside Dublin.
According to RTE, a post on X about the incident at the hotel was viewed 136,000 times. A man was arrested for alleged assault on a young girl.
