VodafoneZiggo Taps Ericsson for 5G Boost
VodafoneZiggo has signed a three-year deal with Ericsson to modernize its Dutch mobile network, aiming to boost 5G capacity and energy efficiency.
The agreement covers around 3,000 sites across the Netherlands and will support the rollout of newly acquired 3.5GHz spectrum, upgrade existing infrastructure, and deploy new radio equipment.
The network overhaul will handle rising data demand and support new applications, while aiming to boost capacity and hit sustainability targets.

- The radio cuts energy use by up to 63% and weighs 58% less than its predecessor.
