South Devon MP Caroline Voaden continues her campaign to secure a banking hub in Totnes, questioning a Treasury Minister in Parliament.
She asked if new regulation is needed to help rural areas retain face-to-face banking services, noting that the Financial Conduct Authority only protects access to cash.
Lloyds Banking Group will prevent customers from cashing cheques at Post Offices from January next year.
Ms Voaden aims to protect face-to-face banking services.
