Alejandro "Bicho" Soler López Wins California State Triathlon
Alejandro "Bicho" Soler López, a second-year health and human performance major at Point Loma Nazarene University, has won the California State Triathlon in the 20-24 year age range.
Soler López's journey to becoming a triathlon champion began in high school, where he joined cross country to earn physical education credits. He quickly fell in love with running, finding it "addictive to get better" with each workout.
"I just liked it because I was just getting better every time, and it was addictive to get better,"
he said. Soler López's dedication paid off, with a first-place finish in the Mission Bay Triathlon and now, a California State Champion title.
