Ceremonies to honor Remembrance Day and the sacrifices of service members are scheduled in Hamilton, Burlington, and Brantford. On November 11, most federal services and federally regulated businesses like banks and postal services will be closed.
An event to honor Indigenous Veteran’s Day will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, at Battlefield House Museum and Park, 77 King St.

The event at the Eagles Among Us Indigenous Monument will be followed by light refreshments and snacks featuring Indigenous flavors. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs due to limited seating.
The city’s garrison parade will start at 10:15 a.m. on November 9, followed by a service at 10:45 a.m. The parade will include Hamilton veterans, garrison units, and cadet corps, beginning at John Foote V.C. and proceeding south to Gore Park on King Street East.
The commemorative service will take place at Veteran’s Place in Gore Park.
