The Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib, Abdellatif Jouahri, was awarded the prestigious title of “African Central Bank Governor.” This recognition highlights his two decades of dedication to maintaining Morocco’s monetary stability. Under his guidance, the central bank strengthened the dirham, enhanced banking regulations, and guided a shift toward greater exchange rate flexibility.

The Chairman and CEO of Attijariwafa Bank, Mohamed El Kettani, earned the title of “African Banker” for his outstanding achievements. In 2024, the bank reported a 29% rise in consolidated net income and operates a network of 5,900 branches across more than fifteen African countries.
