Anunay Sood, a well-known Dubai-based travel influencer and photographer, passed away in Las Vegas at the age of 32. His family confirmed the news on Thursday, though the cause of death has not been disclosed.
Anunay gained recognition for his outstanding travel visuals, drone photography, and adventure content. He collaborated regularly with global tourism boards and brands, building a strong presence on social media with 1.4 million Instagram followers and 380,000 YouTube subscribers.
"Forbes described him as a Dubai-based photographer who began by documenting his travels on Instagram and later went on to run a marketing firm."
He was featured in Forbes India’s Top 100 Digital Stars list for three consecutive years—2022, 2023, and 2024.
Anunay's start as an influencer was humble and filled with enthusiasm. His first vlog was shot in Spiti Valley, where he humorously noted it took seven attempts to reach what he called 'paradise.' One of his earliest videos captured a March visit to Chandrataal, where he walked through knee-deep snow in simple canvas shoes.
With each mountain trip, his passion for photography grew, and he gradually shaped his life around this passion, sharing vivid, personal stories through his evolving skills and storytelling on social media.
Anunay was the son of Ritu and Rahul Sood Kuthiala. He had two sisters, Rachita Sood and Ishita Sood.
His journey reflects a deep commitment to his passion, inspiring many through his authentic storytelling and visual artistry.
