Hilary Duff recently spoke about her comeback to the music scene and shared details about her new single, This is what Y2K dreams are made of. Earlier this week, she revealed plans to release “Mature” on November 6, marking her first new track since 2015’s album Breathe In.
Interview Insights on Her Music Return
During the Season Two finale of the Therapuss podcast with host Jake Shane, Duff reflected on her time away and comeback. She stated,
“It was always going to happen. There’s no way that that was not going to be a part of my story.”
As a pop star and former Disney star, Duff explained that after a decade away, now at age 38, she feels ready to reconnect with fans by sharing her current life experiences.

She emphasized her deep bond with fans she’s known since childhood, expressing a desire to reconnect:
“I have this crazy connection with fans that I’ve known since I was nine, 10 years old, and I just want to connect with them again.”

Duff shared how she finally feels secure and comfortable enough in her family life to reveal this part of herself once more:
“Finally I felt safe enough and comfortable in my own family to step outside and open that part of myself up again.”
