Evacuation alerts are currently posted on the edges of Logan Lake, BC. Both the local municipal district and the town itself issued the notices. The Guichon Creek fire sits at 88 hectares. That one is burning freely. Crews are closely watching it. Residents have been told to get ready to leave if things change.

A separate fire near Monte Lake, right beside Highway 97, burned 12 hectares. Crews got on top of that one. It is completely contained now. The two fires sit within a bigger push to manage the broader threat, officials reported on July 30, 2026.
